Blues and Roots Festival Byron Bay 2015
Thousands of music fans from all over the globe, we being just some of them, gathered in Byron Bay over the Easter long weekend to attend Australia's largest blues and roots festival. And it did not disappoint.
The rain came thick and heavy in moments that created mud fields and stomping puddles, followed quickly by bursts of sunshine setting the scene for five days of music bliss, food to tantalise the taste buds from all corners of the world, fresh cold beer to wash it down and a feast of fashion from all walks of life.
Local label Spell and the Gypsy Collective dominated the fashion stakes, with tassel and leather clad women sporting Spell's signature rocker girl meets cowgirl meets bohemian babe prints, this label is fast becoming the music festival scene uniform (if you've been hiding under a rock and haven't heard of this sister run powerhouse, then I suggest you head over to SpellDesigns.com and get yourself an addiction)
Metallic tattoos also made a big appearance at this year's blues festival with pops of gold and silver adorning skin, this trend is showing no signs of slowing down just yet, which delights us of course!
And it was a thrill seeing GLO TATTS amongst all the beauty...a very excited designer leapt at those spotted wearing GLO for a snap (of which you can see on our Facebook page)
All in all The Blues Festival was an explosion of goodness! A real music festival where the musicians draw you into their worlds, tell you a story and leave you feeling fulfilled and inspired. A delightful change from the increasing amount of fast paced, alcohol fuelled blur of an event that so many festivals have become.
You've got our hearts, until next year
